General Info:
Three weekend workshops in which Jin Soo Kim will lead students in an exploration of themes and materials similar to those she has employed in her nationally traveled exhibition roll-run-hit-run-roll-tick-tick- on display at the NIU Art Museum January 17 – May 13.
Workshop participants will explore materials and methods including drawing, assemblage, installation, poetry, and recorded sounds, to address issues of displacement, immigration and travel, memory and loss.
Each workshop will culminate in the installation of the participant’s work in the NIU Art Museum Rotunda Gallery where it will remain on view until the next workshop.
The seminar/workshops are offered to NIU students for 1 unit of ART 490 / 590 credit. Others are welcome to participate as space is available.
Sign up early in the Art Museum: Altgeld, First Floor West - enrollment space is extremely limited.

DVDs of Jin Soo Kim’s January 18 Artist Talk are on reserve in the slide library (Visual Resource Center) VAB 217 for viewing. (This is especially important if you missed the talk!)
